Where You Belong.
Community
A community is what holds us all together. It’s how we provide support to one another. It’s a place that we all belong.
If you’re new to our community, welcome. If you’re an old friend, welcome back. We take this community seriously and we hope you do too.
We will never stop uniting this community; never stop creating opportunities, and we will never stop seeing it thrive.
Community is one of the three pillars of this convention. Check out some of our initiatives below.
-
Youth Formal
Did you know some people haven’t been allowed at their own prom because “a seizure could ruin it for everyone else”?
We plan to fix that with a seizure-safe youth formal! -
Providers' Banquet Dinner
Everyone deserves to unwind and relax!
All providers are encouraged to join us for a cocktail hour, tasy dinner, and a special presentation.
-
Community Building
Join Ethan Zohn, winner of CBS’s Survivor, as he guides us through some survivor-like challenges designed to promote teamwork, communication, and making friends!
-
After-Hours Mixer
Looking to continue the fun into the evening? Join us for music, light bites, beverages, and lots of fun as we host a mixer for those wanting extra socializing time.
DANCE.
It all began with being told “No”.
Can you imagine not be allowed at your prom because of epilepsy? Maybe you don’t have to imagine. Maybe you know.
When others say no, we say yes. In fact, we say dance. So join us as we host the first NEEC Youth Formal.
This dance is intended for ages XX-XX and will be produced in a seizure-safe manner. There will be a DJ spinning tunes, youth-friendly refreshments, and lots of laughs. There will be a team of chaperones as well, led by Dr. John Gaitanis to ensure safety for all attendees.
Parents, while your kids are getting their party on, head over to the after-hours mixer to hang out until they’re danced-out.
NETWORK.
Providers deserve some fun too, right?
Join us for an elegant night of networking, relaxing, and learning. As a thank you to our incredible community of providers, this free RSVP includes a cocktail/networking hour, a formal banquet dinner, and a presentation!
Cocktail hour will take place in the Mt. Auburn Ballroom and our dinner will be one floor up in the Charles View Ballroom. Soak in panoramic views of the city as the sun sets on our first day at the convention.
Presentation details to be announced soon. Please use the link below to RSVP. This event is for providers only. Limited capacity available.
Connect.
Calling all fans of Survivor! … and anyone that enjoys a super unique opportunity!

Ethan Zohn, winner of Survivor Africa, will be leading several breakout groups on a journey of growth, problem solving, and communication. His challenges will push you to learn more about yourself and your peers. By the end, you’ll have new friends, new memories, and maybe even some new skills!

Relax.
After two long days of learning, discovering, and networking, you’re going to need a pick-me-up to finish strong on the final day! If you’re a parent and your baby is off at our youth formal, then you’re really going to need this!
Join us for a night of relaxing, socializing, dancing, and enjoying new-found friends. We’ll have a DJ playing some fun and easy music while you indulge in some light bites and beverages. Enjoy, but don’t stay up too late - we have more learning to do on Saturday!
Please RSVP. Menu to be announced. Cash bar available. Children allowed only with parents in attendance. Food included in registration fee.
